The Council's Emergency Planning unit may be contacted during normal office hours by telephone or email, as shown below. Urgent calls outside of office hours should initially be referred to the Duty Officer.

CONTACT IN A MAJOR CIVIL EMERGENCY

The Local Authority work in close co-operation with the Emergency Services and in the event of a major incident would open the District Emergency Centre. The Emergency Centre is not normally manned, but is maintained ready for immediate use in a major incident.

During a major incident the latest emergency information will be posted on this website and updated constantly.
